Flowfast Terrosso Helps Terrific Toilet Turnaround at Edinburgh Waverley

Flowcrete UK worked in conjunction with Network Rail to provide flooring for its newly refurbished public toilets entrance at Edinburgh Waverley Station.

The existing surface was not level, having been repaired on numerous occasions over the years and an old kiosk had left a large infill after being removed.

Network Rail requested a seamless, aesthetic resin floor to replace its previous tiled finish and Flowcrete UK was more than happy to oblige with its MMA flooring system, Flowfast Terrosso.

The work had to be carried out in sections throughout the night due to the toilets having to be in use the following morning at 6am.  With that in mind the floor was completed over three evenings.

The Flowfast Terrosso flooring system provides a seamless, decorative, hardwearing acrylic resin floor finish and has been developed for high traffic commercial environments. It is ideal for fast track applications, therefore dramatically reducing disruption.

Overlaying the old tiled finish with 150m2 of the new flooring solution, which has an in-built methyl methacrylate catalyst, meant that the installation time was greatly reduced and the project was completed within three evenings rather than a number of weeks.
